Tools

Two small command-line tools that take you from 68000 assembler source to a floppy disk that boots on a Mac 128K, 512K or Plus.

Both are written in C, have no dependencies, are MIT-licensed and are on GitHub. The setup movie installs them from scratch.

68000 assembler toolchain for the classic Macintosh

Assembler, linker, resource compiler and MacBinary writer in one small C program. It builds applications for the Mac 128K, 512K and Plus from 68000 assembler source, on Linux or macOS, without an emulator.

v1.2.1 MIT Linux macOS

brew install bircher988/tap/mac68k-asm

Disk images for the classic 68k Macintosh

Creates and edits floppy images in MFS, the 400K format of the Mac 128K and 512K, and HFS, the format of the 800K floppy and the Mac Plus. Put files on a disk, list them, copy them back, make a disk that boots straight into your program.
